Sightseeing by Cyanotype
CYANOTYPES are a form of photographic print developed in the mid-19th century. Once popular as a cheap and easy way to produce everything from copies of blueprints to prints of film negatives, they are most well-known for the distinctive and colorful tint with which they develop. As a cheap source of copies, cyanotypes were popular for photo postcards; allow these historical cyanotype views of the town to present Champlain in a new (blue) light.
